I’m Michał Borys, a filmmaker and cinematographer based in Krakow, working with clients and collaborators around the world.  Since I was a kid, I’ve been obsessed with cinema, technology, and the way images can carry a story beyond words. That curiosity led me to a practice where lenses, light, and motion meet code, models, and new tools.

I create live-action work, fully AI‑generated pieces, and hybrid films that blend the two. For me, technology is never a gimmick, it’s a craft element that should serve emotion, narrative, and design. 

Alongside cinematography, I develop workflows for AI image and video generation, and I actively explore latent diffusion models to push realism, control, and consistency. 

Driven by an insatiable curiosity, I’m committed to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in film. I believe that AI is not just a tool, but a new creative partner in the filmmaking process. Either way, my focus is to deliver images that feel alive, purposeful, and memorable.

I’m largely self-taught and permanently in learning mode. That background makes me hands-on and solution-driven. My roots in art, film history, storytelling, and 3D animation shape how I think about space, time, and movement on screen.
